

ABOUT
Coalition for Digital Equality (CODE) is a network connecting local and global stakeholders to collaborate in addressing the digital gender divide and drive sustainable economic growth in Africa.
Starting in Uganda and Ghana, CODE connects African innovation hubs, digital skills initiatives, Small and Medium-sized Businesses (SMBs), impact investors and policy makers with UK academic and industry partners.
Our mission is to build a more equal and prosperous African digital future by:
- Connecting and enabling knowledge-sharing between digital ecosystem stakeholders in Uganda, Ghana, UK and globally
- Co-creating solutions to increase African women's digital inclusion and economic empowerment
- Catalysing cross-sector collaboration to unlock inclusive digital growth opportunities
The network was established as part of an 18-month project " Bridging the Digital Gender Divide to Stimulate Growth in African Digital Economies" funded by UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) and the Global Challenges Research Fund (GCRF)OVERVIEW
PROJECT TEAM
The CODE network was established as part of the 'Bridging the Digital Gender Divide to Stimulate African Digital Economies' project that is funded by UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) and the Global Challenges Research Fund (GCRF).
The project team is composed of multi-disciplinary academics and practioners with expertise in gender, entrepreneurship, digital inclusion, international development and social innovation.
